A standard game of pickleball, no matter if it is a single or double, lasts 15 to 25 minutes.

No matter it is a competitive tournament or a casual play, if the game goes to 11 then it won’t take time more than 25 minutes.

But in a tournament when there are multiple games to be played it can last almost 60 minutes.

There are different factors that can determine the length of a game of pickleball. And there is a huge difference between a casual game and a tournament game of pickleball.

Pace of the game:

The pace of the game is not judged by how the game is fast or slow but the pace is dictated by the number of different things such as skill level or age of the player.

Here by age we do not mean that people with old age need more pace for the game as compared to the youngsters.

By mentioning the age we mean that sometimes the younger players that are at the basic skill level need more time in a game as compared to the people playing at the age of 60 years or 70

because the youngsters and the basic level players need more time to learn from their mistakes and learn the game.

Singles vs. doubles:

The length of the pickleball game can depend on the type of game either it is singles or doubles.

We all know that single games are not longer than the doubles. But sometimes it can happen that the double games can and quickly

because one team completely takes over the other team and it becomes very easy for them to win the game in a very short time. Such games don’t last long.

Indoor versus outdoor:

People might ask that if playing indoors or outdoors can affect the length of the pickleball game?

The answer is yes but to some extent. Don’t think that the indoor games are quicker than the outdoor games.

Sometimes there are different factors that can affect the indoor games as well. But most probably the outdoor games are longer than the indoor games because of the weather conditions.

For example, let’s suppose the weather is hot and humid, this weather will exhaust and dehydrated the players and it will make the players sluggish and slow.

These factors can affect the length of the games. Though pickleball is a very fast game and you can finish it quickly

but there are different factors that can always affect the length of your game so before you choose to play pickleball and you don’t have enough time

you need to focus on all the factors that might affect the length of the game.
