When a Pickleball court needs maintenance?

Here is the list of occasions you need to focus on maintenance immediately:

  • If there is any crack in the surface
  • If the lines fade
  • If the net breaks
  • If the fence gets rusted
  • If the light at night game is not enough or is broken

If these issues are not addressed on time your court will start ageing and it won’t last for long. Let’s say their crack is opened, if not maintained on time it can lead to more cracks. Similarly when the fence gets old or rusty, the rust will reach other fencing too.

If you find the net getting weak or becoming fragile, you can take this as an opportunity and revamp the whole court. This is more helpful than maintaining one thing at a time.

But this doesn’t mean you change everything in maintaining one thing for example, if the lines are fading and other things are all right then repaint the lines only, don’t make other changes that are not necessary.

If the net is sagging then change the net not the fence if the fence is fine. If lights are dim and other things are fine fix the lights only. Only make necessary changes that are required don’t change the things that are fine.
